Strata Health’s Response to COVID-19

A letter from Peter Smith, President and CEO of Strata Health Solutions

Together, we are facing a truly unprecedented time. As the global coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic evolves, we are inspired by the health care heroes who are working tirelessly on the frontlines, and our thoughts go out to the families, businesses, and communities who have been affected.

I am reaching out today to provide an update on how we at Strata Health are responding to the pandemic and supporting our clients in this time of great need.

Organizational Resilience and Business Continuity

The health and well-being of our people, clients, and communities is of utmost importance. In compliance with public health recommendations, Strata Health has moved all business operations remotely until further notice.

While our staff will be working from home, our business continuity plan is strong and tested. Our team is equipped with the tools and resources they need to operate at 100% capacity, just as they would be if they were in the office. The service and support we provide will not be compromised. We stand at the ready to be of value to our clients during this difficult time.

Supporting Our Clients: A New Wave of Innovation

With intensifying concerns surrounding how the COVID-19 pandemic will impact already overburdened health systems, Strata Health has released additional support services to all existing clients for no added cost.

We have identified four main ways that Strata Health software services can assist in meeting the challenges of the COVID-19 outbreak:

1. Creating acute care capacity by transitioning patients out of the hospital in advance of the expected surge in demand.
2. Redirecting patients at assessment centres away from acute/critical care as possible.
3. Quickly transitioning recovering patients out of the hospital into other facilities for care during the post-critical phase of illness.
4. If there is an outbreak at a community facility, decanting the patients into other locations.
